Technical Guff!!!

Ah, so you want to get technical do you?  Amongst the many outstanding features of West Street Live is it's sound systems.  West Street Live has an in house PA system so that bands need not worry about bringing their own (aren't we thoughtful!) and can save all their energy for their performance rather than lugging heavy PAs around...

So what exactly can we expect from the system at West Street Live, I hear you ask?  Well, here are all the ins and outs of the West Street Live Sound systems:

The Martin Blackline F15 speakers boast some impressive statistics in an extremely compact package. Extended frequency response is provided by a 15Î (380mm) LF driver teamed with a 1.4Î (35mm) exit compression driver mounted on a rotatable 80¼ x 50¼ constant directivity HF horn.

The Martin Blackline S15 Sub-Bass speakers are designed to work in perfect synergy with the F15 to produce a full all round sound.  The S15 provides good bass punch from a direct radiating 15Î (380mm) driver with a 4Î (100mm) high temperature voice coil.

Twin Martin MA 2.8 stereo amplifiers each packing out an impressive 1400W per channel @ 4ohms!

The  Allen & Heath GS3 24 Track  Pro Mixing Desk is a proven workhorse of a desk.  With 56 inputs, 24 Balanced mic inputs of superb quality, and 4 Aux sends/monitor sends plus channel cue/monitor it has everything the dedicated sound engineer needs.

It also features 8 groups, 24 multi track/line inputs with 2 aux sends, 4 stereo returns and midi mute.

Although a huge part of West Street Live is the bands there are times when the music playing is pre recorded which means that we needed a top in house sound system to go with our PA system.  This comes in the form of 8 jamo px 200 speakers running off of 4 900w ppx amps.

The music is only half the show. West Street Live boasts it's own in-house, dynamic, lighting which comprises of:
8 Stage mounted Pulsar 500w Par Cans
2 intelligent Pulsar moving head follow spots
2 intelligent colour washes
All this is run from a Pulsar 108 masterpiece lighting desk!
